Discover whose company or organization has the best adult spellers in the Quad City area. This event provides a fun atmosphere for the participants and the audience to test the spelling ability of adult teams in the first annual spelling bee presented by the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation.

Quad City Spells Update . . . .

Quad City Spells - an adult spelling bee - presented by The Bettendorf Public Library Foundation, has added a non-profit category at a special rate for participating teams. AND....the corporate team rate has also been reduced. The new Corporate Rate is $300 for three-person teams and non-profit organizations can compete at a three-person team rate of $250.

"The goal of the Foundation is to support and maintain the excellence of programs and services offered by the Bettendorf Public Library through private sector support," stated Ann Kappeler, President of the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation. "We are excited about this new competition - one where everyone not only has a great time but garners recognition for their company or organization while raising funds for the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation," continued Kappeler.

QUAD CITY SPELLS is an adult spelling competition featuring 3 person teams vying for the title of "Best Adult Spellers in the QCA". Our premier sponsor is THE National Bank and the event will be held at the Bettendorf Public Library on April 30, 2009, beginning at 6:00PM.

With the addition of this new category, the deadline for entrants has been extended to April 6 with a 12-team maximum.
