Programs

The Bettendorf Public Library is dedicated to lifelong learning, and we offer a wide variety of programs for all ages and interests.  You can see all of our programs and events on our calendar of events.  For those programs that require registration, that can be done online through the calendar of events, by calling 563-344-4179 or at a service desk in the Library.

June 3 - July 27

A Universe of Stories is the theme of The Bettendorf Public Library’s 2019 Summer Reading Programs for all ages. Explore the wonders of our universe and learn about the solar system. Patrons are invited to try something new: learn new facts about space, read a new book, try a new craft, meet new people, and much more!

You can sign up in two ways:

  • In person at the Library, starting June 3
  • Or online.  Pre-registration starts May 27; you can start tracking your reading on June 3.
    • Online registration is done via Beanstack at https://bettendorflibrary.beanstack.org. You will be able to track your reading, contribute reviews, earn badges and never need a paper log again. This is a great way to participate in the summer reading program if you travel a lot, or if you have a lot of people in your house who are tracking their participation.  No more lost paper logs!  Sign up yourself, your spouse, and your kids at https://bettendorflibrary.beanstack.org.
    • If you want to register in person but use Beanstack we can help you with account creation.
    • You can even use it on your mobile devices through an official app.  Get the app from the Google Play store or the Apple Store.
