Preschool Storytimes
Children ages three through five are invited to attend Preschool Storytimes, which are offered Mondays at 6:30 p.m., Tuesdays at 10 a.m., Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and Thursdays at 10 a.m. The 30 minute sessions consist of stories and activities for the preschooler. Parents are required to stay in the Library, but do not attend the sessions. No registration is required. The same theme is shared throughout the week and stories are repeated from day to day. On the 3rd Thursday of each month,the Books Are Great (BAG) Program is substituted for the regular storytime. It is a 60 minute session and is in cooperation with the Family Museum.
Preschool Storytimes are offered continually, with recesses occurring in December, May and August. For specific dates refer to the Calendar of Events.
Tummy Time
Children birth to age three and a caregiver are invited to come to the library for sessions filled with simple exercises, stories, songs, rhymes, parenting tips and more. The free sessions are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 10 a.m. and the second and fourth Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. No registration is required. All sessions will be held in the Junior League Program Room on the first floor. For specific dates refer to the Calendar of Events.
Baby Time
Storytimes that are designed for a care give and children that are non-walkers. Activities include simple exercises, stories, songs, rhymes, parenting tips and more! The 20 minute sessions will be held on the first Thursdays of every month at 9:15 a.m. Just drop in, no registration is required.
