Super Smash Bros Brawl Free Play
Wednesday August 6th 1:00 to 4:30
BPL needs your help! We recently acquired two new Nintendo Wii systems with Super Smash Bros Brawl and we need you to help open up all the unlockable characters!
This will be a free play event. Players will get a chance to play three stock matches in a row and then will need to pass the controller on and wait for another turn. If you need to bring your own controller freel free, but you are responsible for it. BPL will supply GameCube controllers for people to use.
Which version of Smash Bros is the best? Here is a video from IGN discussing the differences of the three iterations of Smash Bros. Let us know what you think in the comments section.
We are requiring registration and will have qualifying rounds.
First off , I will provide 4 gamecube controllers for all matches. If you need another set up feel free to bring your own. If you are bringing your own controller set up please inform us before the match starts (so we can register it with the system) and please label your controllers with your name. We are not responsible for your controllers.
As I mentioned before, the registrants will participate in three qualifying rounds. The matches will be standard 4 player matches, with 3 stock lives and a time limit of 5 minutes. All items will be on medium. Players will be given points based on how they finish (40 for 1st place, 30 for 2nd place and so forth).
After the qualifying rounds the 24 participants with the most points will move onto the tournament. The tournament will be 1 on 1, with 3 stock lives and a time limit of 5 minutes. To make things fair for all the character there will be no items during the 1 on 1 tournament. The stages will also be limited to Final Destination, Battlefield, Smashville, Lylat cruise, and Yoshi’s Island.
While I will allow last minute registrants on the day of the tournament I would prefer if you register online with the form below:
