The Friends are members of a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the Bettendorf Public Library. The Friends contribute to the purchase of books and materials, to Library programs for adults and children, and to other expenditures beyond the Library's budget.

Funds are raised through an annual membership drive, two Book Fairs each year, collection of used books and magazines for re-sale, owning and operating two copiers for Library patrons, and an annual Holiday Bazaar.

Meetings are held monthly at the Library, September through June, on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:15 p.m.

For more information about volunteering with the Friends, contact the Bettendorf Public Library Volunteer Coordinator. For questions about the book fairs or bazaar, contact the Administrative Assistant.
