Use of Space

  1. Upon arriving at the Library, meeting room users must stop at the Library's Service Desk and ask a staff member to unlock the room. When meeting room users are done, they must ask a staff member to lock the room.
  2. Reservation times are firm and should include any clean-up/set-up time. Furniture must be returned to original placement, as outlined in the diagram at each meeting room entrance. The room may be booked for consecutive meetings, so it should be clean and ready for the next user.
  3. Mondays-Thursday evenings only: meetings may continue past 8pm when the main library closes, but attendees must vacate the building by 8:30pm (exception: when the library is a polling location for elections). Groups who fail to leave the building in a timely manner will lose future meeting room privileges.
  4. Meeting room capacity limits are strictly enforced, and individual(s) reserving space are responsible for maintaining capacity. Failure to maintain maximum capacity limits will result in immediate expulsion from the meeting space.
  5. Smoking is prohibited in the Library and on the Library property.
  6. Deliberate misuse of or damage to Library meeting rooms or equipment may result in billing the user for damages and/or refusing any further requests for meeting room use.
  7. The Library is not responsible for loss or damage to the private property of individuals or organizations using meeting facilities.
  8. All meetings are considered open to the public, and doors must remain unlocked during use.
  9. Admission fees, donations, or other fees may not be charged or solicited. Commercial activities such as selling merchandise, soliciting sales, placing orders, exchanging monies is strictly prohibited unless part of a Library, Friends, or Foundation event and is pre-approved by the Library Director.
