Membership in the Friends is an affordable way to support the Bettendorf Public Library. Memberships run for a calendar year. In addition to supporting the library, your membership offers you the opportunity to attend the Friends preview sale when we hold our book sales.
All of these projects allow the Friends to provide materials and programming to the library.
The Friends approved funding 56 projects requested by the library in 2024 for over $57,000. Visit us on Facebook to see more updates!
There are no special requirements to become a Friend. Join and realize the satisfaction that you have helped to support the Bettendorf Public Library. As a current or future member of the Friends, please consider volunteering to assist in operation of our bookshop or sorting and processing of donations for our sales.
To become a Friend of the Library, please download and fill out the following form, then bring it to the library or attach it in an email to info@bettendorflibrary.com.
The bookshop, located in the previous coffee shop area, is open Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Several thousand books are on sale, most for $1 each, with pocket books, chapter books and teen books for 50¢, and children’s books for 25¢. Stock is regularly rotated, with no books on display more than two months. All proceeds from the shop are used to support Library programs.
