The Bettendorf Public Library extends beyond the Learning Campus, bringing our services and collections to local schools, senior living facilities, and other public spaces. We aim to connect with the broader community, including those who may find it challenging to visit our facility regularly.
To help us in this endeavor, the library is excited to roll out our new outreach vehicle in 2026! This new mobile library will play a vital role in ensuring library services are accessible to all.
The library provides diverse outreach services tailored to different audiences, locations, and activities. Each year, we connect with around 7,000 people through more than 100 outreach events, support hundreds at seven senior living facilities, and conduct over 150 home visits.
Here is a short list of programming and services offered as part of our mission to provide access to information and promote a love for reading for all:

In Spring 2026, we will be rolling out our new mobile library! Our new outreach vehicle will allow library staff to set up pop-up outreach library services around the community and in public spaces. Residents of all ages can browse collection offerings, sign up for a library card, and learn about upcoming library programs. The outreach vehicle will also provide free Wi-Fi.
More information will come soon on where to find our outreach vehicle pop-up events and on how to request a visit from the outreach vehicle to your organization or business.
Home delivery services are available to Bettendorf Library cardholders with temporary or permanent disabilities who are unable to access the library independently. To have library staff and volunteers bring materials to your home through our homebound delivery service, please fill out the form below.
