Local quilter Diane Murtha shares the wisdom gained over 50 years as a fiber artist.
Diane Murtha's grandmother helped her with her first hand sewn and tied quilt. As an adult, Diane became hooked on fiber arts, transitioning from traditional quilting to modifying patterns and creating her own original designs, eventually becoming an award-winning fiber artist, author, and international lecturer and instructor. Her art and articles are included in books, magazines, and multiple juried exhibits and international shows, including the prestigious National Quilt Museum and International Quilt Festival. Diane published her first book, Artful Insights in Fiber: Quilted Bits of Wit & Wisdom in March 2023.
