Malmros RoomLearn about the Hotline for Older Iowans at Iowa Legal Aid, a free legal service specifically for people aged 60 and older in Iowa.
The hotline gives seniors direct access to an attorney by phone for advice and brief legal help. The service covers civil (non-criminal) legal issues, such as housing, public benefits like Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security, consumer problems, wills/estates, and elder abuse concerns. It is often the first point of contact, providing quick answers and referring callers to further legal assistance if needed. The hotline is free and available statewide to eligible older Iowans. If you have questions about the hotline and how it operates, drop in during this event to get them answered! Loved ones who are not 60+ may call the hotline for advice if they have power of attorney.
