Presentation with Q & A to follow.
Mykola Haleta, assistant professor of graphic design at The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, will present the artist and exhibition catalogs on display at the Bettendorf Public Library through January. The ADCA Archive documents an eclectic range of artist and exhibition catalogs from the 1950s through to the 1990s. Points of origin for the AECA Archive are entangled within the midwest of the US, including both east and west coasts, and span as far as eastern Europe. The ADCA Archive Installment contains a wide range of unique artist and exhibition catalogs which represent both popular and obscure regional and international artists, galleries, museums and institutions. The ADCA Archive frames 50 years of diverse print production techniques and design aesthetics within an intersection of the worlds of art and graphic design, roughly framing an adventurous trajectory into what we now know as contemporary zine culture. Join us for a presentation by Mykola Haleta followed by Q & A.
Coffee and light refreshments will be available.
